About RemodelCostCalc

RemodelCostCalc exists because a single "average remodel cost" number is nearly useless. Averages hide the only thing that matters when a bid lands on your kitchen table: which lines are expensive, and whether your bid's lines make sense.

What we do

We publish free, browser-based calculators that estimate kitchen and bathroom remodel costs the way contractors build bids — line by line. Each calculator starts from typical US per-square-foot cost bands for cabinets, tile, plumbing, labor and the rest, then adjusts for your room size, finish level and region. The output is a low–high range per line item, which is exactly the shape of a real itemized bid.

What we are not

• Not a quote. Every figure is a planning estimate. Only licensed local contractors who see your space can quote it.
• Not a lead marketplace. We do not sell homeowner inquiries to multiple contractors. Our planned contractor product is a flat-price embed whose requests go to one business only — its owner.
• Not a data collector. The calculators run entirely in your browser; the numbers you enter are never uploaded.
